Membership
Membership in the community garden is available at the very low annual cost of $20, which places you on the list for the next available garden plot and makes you a member of the Pender Organic Community Garden Society.

Community gardens promote healthy communities and provide food security for persons living in remote areas with high transportation costs such as the Gulf Islands.

I want a Garden Plot

SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR RETURNING MEMBERS: January 31, 2011* 

*In order to secure your garden plot for the 2011 season you must submit your membership fee before January 31, 2011.

NEW MEMBERS: If you would like to become a POCGS member, please submit a membership form either online or at the Realty office and you'll be placed on the waiting list for a 2011 garden plot. 

SUBMISSION PROCESS:

1)    Complete the online application form

2)    Pick up a Membership Form in the POCGS file at the Realty Office

Mail it to the following address:

Or, deposit it in the POCGS file at the Reality Office

PLOT ASSIGNMENT PROCESS:

Existing Members: All members who have paid for their plot by January 31, 2011 will maintain their same garden plot unless they wish to make a mutual change with another garden member.

New Members: Member's on the waiting list will be assigned any remaining garden plots on a first-come first-serve basis. 

PLOT SIZE

Garden Plot Sizes are approximately 20 X 25 with a total of 24 plots available for the Bedwell Harbour Road location.  

COST

Plot use fee is $20.00 per plot per year.
